About the Club
The Rugby Ski Club was established in 1962 by a small group of keen skiers associated with the NSW Rugby Union Club and the Gordon Rugby Club. A lease hold became available and the original lodge was built.
The Lodge provides year around accommodation for the members and guests of the Rugby Ski Club and is located on the southern side of the Perisher Valley in Kosciuszko National Park, NSW. Being a fine example of early sixties ski lodge design and construction, it is one of a handful of Perisher Valley lodges with heritage listing. While the lodge has been upgraded many times, and now provides accommodation for 14 people with all the modern conveniences, the integrity of the original design remains in place.
Rugby Lodge provides a place for the members and guests to immerse themselves in the Alpine environment, the opportunity to ski from dawn to dusk, take a bushwalk in summer, and to make friendships that last a lifetime.
